Welcome to my research page !
On this page I would like to share some of my interests and achievements, as well as a little of my outside-science activities.
Since I can remember I wanted to become a biologist. My earliest preference was “something with the sea”, which became somewhat diluted by genetics and developmental biology during my graduate studies. Consequently I combined genetic work with marine biology working on Tuna telomere length. Moving from fish to birds brought me all the way to the other side of the world to New Zealand (at least still an island ;-)). When I returned I went back to my other favorite research field, developmental biology, where I explored morphogenetic movements, gene regulatory networks and evolutionary trends.
If this short summary made you curious about my work have fun on this page and let me know if you liked it or have any question…
PS: In case you wonder why this page is called telomere-ecology.de, this is because I set it up quite a while ago and I still like the domain. If you did not notice the name… never mind.
